1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how ServerScout handles information when you visit or interact with the ServerScout website and related services.

ServerScout is an independent gaming community focused on reviewing and rating game servers.

2. Information We May Collect

ServerScout may collect information that users voluntarily provide when contacting ServerScout, requesting support, requesting a server review, or interacting with ServerScout community services.

This may include information such as a Discord username, server information, messages, submitted content, or other information supplied by the user.

3. Website and Technical Information

ServerScout hosting, security, and application services may process standard technical information necessary to operate the website.

This may include IP addresses, browser or device information, request logs, timestamps, error information, and security-related activity.

4. Staff Accounts

Authorized ServerScout staff accounts may require information such as an email address, display name, role, authentication information, and account activity.

Staff account information is used to operate the ServerScout review and management system and is not intended to be publicly displayed unless specifically designated for public use.

5. TikTok Information

ServerScout may connect the official ServerScout TikTok account to the website through TikTok's official authorization and API services.

When authorized, ServerScout may receive TikTok account information made available through approved permissions. This may include profile information and statistical information such as follower count, following count, likes count, and video count.

ServerScout currently intends to use this information for official ServerScout account display and statistics, including displaying the current ServerScout TikTok follower count on the ServerScout website.

ServerScout does not use this TikTok integration to access unrelated private TikTok user information.

6. TikTok Authorization Tokens

If ServerScout authorizes a TikTok integration, access tokens and refresh tokens may be stored securely on ServerScout's server infrastructure so the integration can continue operating.

These credentials are not intended to be exposed publicly or delivered to website visitors.

7. How Information Is Used

ServerScout may use information to operate the website, publish reviews, maintain server profiles, manage staff workflows, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, improve reliability, and provide approved integrations.

8. Information Sharing

ServerScout does not sell personal information.

Information may be processed by service providers used to operate ServerScout, such as website hosting, database, authentication, communication, or platform integration providers.

Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal requests, protect ServerScout systems, or prevent fraud or abuse.

ServerScout is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.

10. Data Retention
